I�ve got a 2.77 LSD diff in my XE 351 Fairmont and plan to convert one day to a 3.23 LSD 4 pinion 28 spline setup, but have already installed a 2500-3000 hi-stall converter. In the interim, could this damage my C4 or my diff?

No it won't damage your C4 though the high gears will cause more slip.Just make sure to have a good cooler.

Yea I think the trans fluid is cool enough. I removed my petrol tank, ('cos the XE runs straight gas) and mounted an old aircon radiator with it's own shrouded electric fan, which is activated by a temp switch on the radiator.

I'm still trying to decifer all the relevant discussion threads so I can understand exactly what options I have in order to change diff ratios without paying an arm and a leg for new components.
