Gday, i'm doing up an XA GS Fairmont. Currently it is a 6 but hopefully soon i would like to drop in a 351 and C4 auto. I've got a few questions about the drive line.
How much will a reco C4 cost me and will it come with the bell housing?
How much will an XA V8 driveshaft cost me and will it bolt up to the 6 cylinder diff in the XA?
I will eventually get a 9 inch. Same old story, money. Thaks for the offers guys but im conctrating on the body/paint first. Which im starting this weekend. Just getting ideas about a drivline for it. Cant decide on a 351 or a turbo 250.

An XA V8 tailshaft for a 302 would bolt up to your diff - the 302's (if auto) came out with a C4. Easiest way is to get the complete running gear from a wreck, so you know it will all go up.
As for the diff, the XD and XE 351s ran a BW four pinion item from the factory. Pretty common, and can also easily get one with discs. As it is a lot lighter than the 9" it may be worth considering.
