i would just go wit a C4 and u would probably be looking at around 400 to 500 for a high stall with a 2.77 LSD disc to disc out of an XF/E for around a couple of hundred out of any xf ghia or ZL fairlane
NAh the xd's got drums at the back, but would using a disc diff let me change this, i was thinking of using a bit more lower gears to help with acceleration, mabye 3.08:1
FOR SALE: 1980 XD, Recently rebuilt 9" disc diff, with 3.25 gears, toploader with hurst shifter kit, 302C, DBA slotted and cross driled rotors, Fairmont interior with modified centre console, jellybean mags, reasonably good condition, driveline will handle 400+rwhp PM FOR PICS asking $3500
isnt it 3.23 or it might be 3.22 not sure but any way i dont think they came in LSD i think u should forget all and just get a nine inch and wack under it

if u used a diff with discs on it just chuck it all under dont bother about changing gears etc
If by the title your fitting this into an XD a diff from XF wont fit. Coil spring rear against leaf spring rear. If its in an XD a diff from any previous model will fit. If you use one from XW XY they are shorter ( handy if you want bigger wheels/tyres) only difference being hub size. Is this car six or v8 powered because if your talking BW35 I`d assume six hence a 9inch would be severe overkill, esp on your wallet.Only other option would be if you can find an XF or later ute or van lsd they should be ok seeing as they are leaf spring also. Good luck
