confused XD ute motivation

Just bought an XD ute and am about to flick the 4.1 and 3 spd manual. Have a warm 302 cleveland to go in but no box. Want to stay manual, what 4 spd boxes will fit? Obviously a top loader will but I don't want to spend that sort of money on a $500 parts hauler. What about a single rail? I know bugger all about boxes so please help me!!

Am in the market of anyone is selling, need clutch and flywheel also as motor was an auto.

Re: XD ute motivation

The single rails came in those XD's behind clevelands so that would be the go.

Re: XD ute motivation

Don't forget the tailshaft, as from memory, it is different to the auto one. Also, you may need a starter motor to suit.
