Hey ive done searchs and couldnt find any good answers so i guess here goes.

I am putting an XR6 into my ford fairmont ghia, im not a manual fan but would like a 4 speed auto to go...is this possible or do i have to go manual...

id like to say so far ive had most my problems solved by reading others

Clinton, I cant see why not the major problem I see with your proposed sonversion will be the moutning points for both the motor and gearbox, I am 99% convinced they will line up, but you never know, otherwise if you transfer the full wiring and interior you will be fine, I am really sure that without the cluster hooked up, i.e if you just put all wiring and computers in that the car would not start, let alone would you be able to know how fast you are going.

How much were you planning, or want to transfer of the XR6 into the XF, i mean are you planning on everything that can possibly fit, or do you have a list of what you ONLY want to be transferred.

Ive been told that the motor should line up and that i could have hassles with the g/box but worth giving a go anyways.

IM looking at transferrring xr6 mtor n box into the xf ghia and go with a xr6 diff, hopefully the computer and cluster all fit in well otherwise i dunno :S
