Yeah if anyone has a time for an XF let us know.

Don't forget to mention efi/carbie and any mods, diff ratio auto/man etc.

Need to get serious about speed.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I think the official 0-100 time for EB II 5.0 is around the 8.0 second mark. I don't have any material on the XF just yet.

Please also note this topic has been covered before at this thread:

XF Efi Manuals i've read in wheels can do it in 9.7 or so. I'll have to dig the mag up from my archives to be exact.

Whoa that's a bit better than the 15 I measured once. Admittedly it was a very dodgy attempt - I counted the flashes of the two dots on the digital clock. Also the speedo on the Ghia dash is slow to respond under high acceleration. And I didn't rev up the auto with the brakes on, I just planted it from idle.

I think with the exhaust and air filter it should do a lot better, but I'll have to get it tuned as it's going a bit flat atm.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I got about very close to the 10 sec mark... It was a real dodgy way though. I was listening to a cd and hit skip just as I was about to take off... then when i hit 100 i pushed pause.

My car is an XF 5spd carb

Actually, Motor tested the XF EFI Falcon S at 8.5s to 100, with a 16.05s 1/4, and a top speed of 191km/h. I can email those who doubt this, just pm me.

I timed my XF again yesterday and pulled a very shameful 15 secs. I think it would have something to do with the fact the clutch was slipping shitloads. I shouldn't really of pushed it, but im getting a new clutch this week -- so ill post a real time.

Cheers
Matt
