05 Expedition questions

I have a 2005 expedition. I got it used right after I got it we had all of the spark plugs replaced. It has done great until now. The last month when you accelerate from dead stop it acts like its running out out gas/stalling when shifting to 2nd and sometime 3rd. After 3rd it doesn't do it anymore. It also doesnt do it if you shift it manually. We have changed the fuel filter twice, the fuel pump, and a speed control sensor. Nothing has worked. Any ideals on what it could be? It is not giving any codes and I have two children so I need it fixed I really don't want to be stuck on the side of the road it 100 plus here. Thanks in advance!!!

Re: 05 Expedition questions

OK so we cleaned the mass air flow sensor and it helped it out a lot!!! But it still does it every now and again instead of every time. Does that mean that the sensor is bad and needs replacing?

Re: 05 Expedition questions

Yes it does need replacing. Did it run pretty good unhooked?

Re: 05 Expedition questions

You can run it unhooked? We just cleaned it with the maf sensor spray.

Re: 05 Expedition questions

You can run it unhooked It won't run as efficiently though. If it runs fairly well, you can try cleaning it some more and if that doesn't help, replace it.
