Arrow 18" tyre prices??

hey guys,

I am after some prices for a set of 18" wheels, I am still deciding whether to upgrade from AU2 slasher 16" wheels to Tickford 17"s or Tickford 18"s.

Can somebody please give me a rough idea how much more I will be looking at for 18's compared to 17's....

cheers

steve

I bought a Set of 17 inch alloys for my AU3 XR6 ute and they were only 215 bucks. As for the 18's if you want a good brand you will have to pay over 600 bucks a tyre.

$600 for perhaps PZeros, S03s or SP9000, which these would also cost atleast $400 in 17s.

You should be able to pick up half decent 18s for ~$300.
Try Khumo 712s or Dunlop FM901s.

I paid $1040 ($260 each) for a set of four 17" ROH Azzurros (The 18" version of this rim is the option rim on the TE/TS50).

You can get a set of four Hankook Ventus K104s for around $700 fitted (they were just rated best value, ie compromise between price and quality, in Wheels/Motor latest tyre test). So that's about $1800 the lot.

As for 18's - double the price for 17's.

the 18"s I had, cheap tyres were aboout $300. Although if you are actually going to drive the car don't go near 18s! you'll bust em

just been pricing tyres for the XR6. The standard 17" sp3000 are 250 a piece. Thats with trade discount, but you would have to have a friend thats in the trade! almost everyone knows a mechanic. 18" SP9000 were $550 a piece. Hope this helps. Go the 17" IMO. 18" look good but really hurt come replacement time.

cheers, I reckon I might go for the 17's. how does 1000 bucks for a set of tickford xr8 mags sound?? brand new.

I also wouldnt mind having a look at the azzurros in 17" these would probably hold there value better then after market ones... but after market ones do make a car unique!

Im confused! lol
