1973 Mach1 A/C Replacement
Hi,
Hope this is the right spot, I'm looking to replace the Air Conditioner system on the 73 Mach 1. I removed the unit, compressor, and other bolt on parts from the engined compartment 10 years ago and have now decided I want to have A/C in the car again.
All the A/C interior connections / panels are intact, just missing the hardware and maybe hoses, and wiring from under the hood. Any suggestions on a replacement set from some one, or is this a junk yard hunt project. Also, we are using r13A in the states now, so I have to go with that system to be legal.
Engine is the 351C4V and i still have the mounting brackets and old compressor and possibly other parts in various locations around the garage / shed. I assume that all the valves and gaskets are shot in these older parts and don't know if they can be rebuilt to match new R13A coolant.
Any suggestions, referrals would be helpful
