1989 ford escort (pony) idling problem
i have a 1989 ford escort with a 1.9l 4 cylinder motor it has a serious idling problem and failed inspection i have no problem driving it although at times it will do 40 mph without giving it any gas and it also tends to jump at lights when i brought the vehicle to a shop the mechanic tried to order a idle speed cellnoid or sensor my knowledge of cars doesnt go this deep but i was told this part is no longer made so i took my search to ebay and all the junkyards nearby still with no luck...
can anyone tell me if there is a way to pass inspection without getting the part or if there is a place i havent looked for the part where i may have a chance?
