390wagon wasnt me Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: new hampshire USA Age: 30 Posts: 281	Re: 2001 ranger auto stuck in park theres a solenoid on the steering column that blocks it unless the key is on and the brake pedal is pressed so i'd have to say theres something up with that. either its stuck up, not getting the signal to shut off, etc. its on the left side of the steering column under the dash, 2 wire connector plugged into it, unplug it and see if the shifter will unlock. __________________ 68 Ford Country Sedan Wagon-390 FE, C6, 9 Inch 87 Chevy Caprice Classic Wagon-307, 2004R, 10 Bolt, what can i say, i grew up with that car
