hey all. one of my army buds challenged me to a race against his camaro. his camaro is a 99 v6 convert with no upgrades. totally stock. has like 105000 miles on it. my stang is a 2001 v6 with 74000 miles on it. has the following upgrades: dual flowmasters, bbk cold air intake, throttle body spacer, bbk 65mm throttle body, and a jet chip. his car is a standard and mine is auto. do i stand a chance against him or will he just kill me. would like to know before i race him. and would also like any advice from more experianced guys on this forum. thanks

lol would love to race for pinks but he would never go for it. he just got the car a few days after we got back from the desert. he was bragging infont of his girl and my wife that he would cream me because he was able to beat one of my sgt's 2000 mustang v6 standard trans with no mods.

It would be close. Be sure to take advantage of the fact that you should be able to launch better with your auto trans.

Also, don't street race. Street racing is lame. Take it to the track.
