dieselhead Registered User Join Date: Sep 2011 Posts: 1	2004 ford escape 3.0 dura tec need some info if anybody has it... have a 2004 ford escape with a 3.0 duratec motor. eighth digit of vin is a 1. my question is can i use a 3.0 dura tec out of a taurus with a eighth vin with a s? motor looks to be the same except for the front timing cover. was wondering if i just changed everything off the old motor, timing cover, balancer,pulleys,etc. is there a difference? thanks in advanced for any info on this.
