Can anybody please tell me if the 200kW (AUII) Windsor uses a roller cam / lifters or a flat tappet cam / lifters?

It has a very strong mid range but is still a bit breathless at the top end (> 5000 RPM). Has anybody played with

better cam, chip and exhaust mods for this engine? Are there any other relatively cheap performance mods (say, a bigger

throttle body) that do not require pulling the heads off?

They are all roller from 85 on..
Like all these mills the whole system is well matched.To get decent power gains, heads, inlet, the whole inlet system $$ etc..After good exhaust..
