300ci I-6 vacuum or electric- help!!??
New here - gotta say, this is quite the resource to have!
Here's the problem- I have a 1990 300ci I-6 with the (new then) F.I.-
Sometimes the van starts =, sometimes it won't. I have replaced the brain, coil, distributor, Ignition Modual, plugs, plug wires, PCV.
Fuel Pressure is plenty (~58psi)
I disconected the pcv and it wanted to start, and would occasionaly but idle horribly (obviously) plug the pcv back in and it would die (so I cleaned all those lines and the valve cover breather - this makes me think that it is vacuum related.
Is there some sort of cold start valve that would starve the motor from fuel if it doesnt open correctly?
Is there any known problem with these motors that would be related to this?
Thanks for the help and I hope I will be able to help in the future.
