Can I drop a 4.0L into an EA?
I have 3.9MPFI EA S 3 spd auto just now, just wondering if the 4.0L will fit in without too much hassle or problems?
Did the 4.0 come in on EB, ED or what? dont know an awful lot since I have only been in aus 2 years.
What sort of price can I expect to pay for a decent condition 4.0L engine?
What sort of advantage will I gain? Quieter, economic, FASTER?
Other option I am thinking of is buying a wrecked EB/ED/EF/EL, swapping parts out of it....see what turns up.

They bolt straight in, all you have to do is make sure you get a non-smartlock ECU with a seperate auto computer. They are deffinately a quiet and smoother motor. I saw an EL motor at pick'n'payless in Blacktown for $650. I picked up an EA 3.9L for $500, just depends on k's really.
