5.0 Overbore??? Advantages & Disadvantages?

I'm in the process of getting a used 5.0 HO. Is an overbore a good idea if I'm rebuilding an entire 5.0? I assume it would be but I want to be sure. For now, I'll be running this engine as Naturally aspirated with the hope of eventually supercharging it with 10 to 15 lbs of boost. If I overbore the engine, what else needs to be done? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Thanks to anyone who can help

The engine builder should be able to tell you if it is needed. The 5L engines don't tend to wear that much but still a 20th overbore is common just to take any taper out of the bores. Only other thing you obviously need with an overbore is oversized pistons.

Keep std bore as much as you can..If s/c especially..Also with s/c motors they require more clearance though you'be better off with low comp inverted dome forged pistons..Yes the bores hardly wear...Hone to tidy up bore is hopefully all you need...
