Some journos said this motor doesnt rev and sounds like the pistons wanted tho jump out of the block anywhere near redline.

Mine is run in now and I rev it regularly (wow it sucks Petrol) and it is very nicely balanced all the way to redline (5500) although it seems best between 4000-5000. Forgot the redline on the 5 litres can someone remind me if it is the same.

Maybe the guy who balanced the crank and signed off on mine was extra carefull.The idle is however very rough as noted by one journo.Im even starting to like the box or at least the fact that it is short throw.As I mentioned before the torque is really nice.The exhausts blacken up so fast(chrome tips) and i bet it could run leaner for more power and better economy.

How does yours feel in the upper rev ranges T3?

Mine wants to rev all the way to tomorrow - gets from 2500 to cut out in a blink and feels so strong - if it didn't have a cut out I reckon it would go to 6500 no trouble at all. Is a bit rough at idle - just how a V8 should be - most journos wouldn't know if a piston was shoved up their arse.
