I have just inherited an early model EA falcon which is in very good condition. The only problem is that its a 3 speed auto.
the 3.9 trottle body injected engine goes well. I was told the easiest option is to fit a btr 85 le box. I was also told that fitting a ef engine & gearbox isn't that involved. any advice gratefully apreciated

one of my mates has put an EF engine & auto in his EA, becuase he got pee'd off when it went through 2 heads, as you would expect the whole ECU & wiring loom ect had to be transfered over and i know it wasnt cheap, mainly because he paid someone to fit it and i am talking 4 years ago be alot cheaper now. But it goes like a rocket !!!!!!!

I have a 88 fairmont ghia and a 3 speed auto.....the auto died last week and i goyt a 1300 repair bill!!! not happy jan.....other than that its not as bad as people say. Yeah acceleratoin is crap but it does get going once your out of 1st

Better still.... put a 5.0 and 95LE auto in it.
