Hi,

My EB's odometer has just stopped working, along with the trip meter, now i just had an imobiliser installed, and it hasnt worked since, they say it wasnt their fault at the car alarm place. Any thoughts, has it anything to do with electronics, or is it purely a mechanical link to the gearbox?

It's unlikely to be of any use, but the following thread indicates it is a common problem:

I'd be inclined to blame an error during the immobiliser installation. A wiring diagram would be invaluable in tracing the error.

IM assuming yer speedo is still working so it would have something to do with the link between the speedo and odo.
I think the odo is rubberband linked to the speedo? maybe its
slipped off?

thanx guys, to clear it up, the speedo and the taco still work fine. How am i to try and suss out wht the problem is?

can i test for current at the odo end?

is it electrical? Does it have a little electrc motor behind the odometer?

I guess my best bit is to take the dash off and have a peek, has anyone taken this aprt of the dash off, is it a big job, or somehting i could prolly handle in a few hours?

damnz0r, what a shit hole..

i had the whole dash off, i mean the whole thing, from the glove box to the steering wheel, yes, that dash, only to realize that to get the the odometer i only had to remove 3 screws...
FFS!!!!!
