I have a 92 mustang and it has a four cylinder in it and when i get ready to take off it bogs down bad, it acts like its not even going to go but then i does. I have hooked up the computer to the engine and the only thing that it says is wrong is that the egr valve does not open, i was wonderin if anyone knows anything or can tell me something to check or if the egr valve has something to do with this. I have no idea to what could be causing it and niether does my auto teacher in high school so any help would be greatly usful. thanks

Ok,
if your at a trade school, then they should have access to the full factory manuals....well my one did.

EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Now if there is a problem with this, then it could be constantly circulating exhaust gases through the system...and that wouldn't be helping at all.
One of the biggest enemies of pollution gear systems, is the carbon build up in all area's of the engine....thorough cleaning is constantly required.
