Got my hotdog resonator removed today, because of the talk in another topic about how shit hotdogs sound on a 2.5" redback catback exhaust.
Neway, we did a reading before hand, got 91db.. I was impressed, and suprised, because my car doesn't sound that loud at all compared to my mates 253.
We removed the resonator and we got a reading of 96db. I was pretty dissapointed and you can't notice the sound difference at all IMO.
Well $35 later, i've basically got the same car, and the guys there said that I could take the hotdog, drive around for a while, then make up my mind whether I wan't to put the hotdog back on or not.
On asking the guy at the shop, he reckons hiflow cats are bullshit, and don't increase flow at all, and at $350 are a waste of money. I asked how much would some extractors be, and he quoted me $495 for genie, or pacemaker extractors. He said the genie were a far better brand.
