Friday I took my car out and it was fine. I did have to slam on the brakes really quick but car was fine. Went and did a few errands and was still fine . Sonday morning my escort wagon won't start. It's not getting any fuel. No pressure in the fuel rail. The pump is good, the inertia switch is good, filter is new, no blockage in the line. I can't figure out what it is. I tried to check the voltage to the pump and it's only 2.4 volts. I dunno if that is good or not. The same 2.4 volts is at the inertia switch. The thing I'm thinking next is the relay, but I can't seem to locate it. Anyone know where it is or can tell me if the 2.4 volts is enough or any idea what to try next or any insight? Help would be very appreciated since I don't wanna pay someone to fix it.

I'm not real sure about the escort, but you can try looking for another fuse box under the hood, or for a cluster of relays. Its not getting the proper voltage for sure.

Try putting 12 volts to the pump and see if it runs.. ONLY as a QUICK test tho.

Whats the voltage on the other side of the inertia switch?

I put 12 volts to the pump and it works. I checked the fuses under the hood too. The voltage before and after the switch is 2.4 Should that be a constant voltage all the time when the ignition is on?
