I have the stock Ford stereo CD-player in my '98 XLT and have a problem with the lighting. The LEDs that show time, station/CD track, etc. don't like to stay on all the time, they'll fade in and out. Sometimes they work for quite a while but then go completely dark again. The backlighting for the station presets seems to be o.k. Does anyone know what causes this problem?

I have the same problem in my '99 Mountaineer. Any help?

None yet, my dealer says its a "fuse" and has ordered me the part he believes is bad....I'll keep you posted. I was away, sorry for the delay.
