Accelerator cables

My Accelerator cable died recently, and i borrowed a mates one off his old EA. Now my old one was kinda soft, his one was rock hard and I got a brand new one today and it was soft. So my Question is, Are they suppose to be soft or hard??

Re: Accelerator cables

soft. Hard indicates the plastic has been heated over a long period of time and has become brittle.
