Question Adjustable Roller Rockers

Are there any benefits in fitting adjustable roller rockers to 351 V8(mildy worked), and if so what are they? and how much would an average good set cost? (eg - yella terra's)

Hyd lifters? = No use at all.
Shim under posts instead to get preload. About a 1/1000 of the cost

Well done SA pollies (for once). Hoon laws are long overdue to protect car enthusiasts against idiot drivers.

Cheers - Thanks for that! It is just a friend was trying to sell me his, as he no longer needs them anymore as he has bought a new engine, but I honestly didn't know if I would benefit from them or not.

matter of opinion .. rollers should make the engine feel a little smoother.. admittedly I have never put them on a stocker.. but there is a noticable difference on a worked motor

The roller rockers will make a difference!! The adjustable side of things wont matter though if you have hydralic lifters.

We're talking a mild motor. Theres no change in ratio.
Stock rockers last 100000k plus.
You save some frictional energy loss at the valve tip, but on hyd motor you wont see it on a dyno.
I think you are spending money for no practical return. A little on teh wrong side of reasonable return on investment.
It would be different if the plan was to go to a solid or wild motor setup.
Still only my 0.02

Depends on how much you are paying for them.If you have a re-ground cam you can keep the right geometry...Won't wear your valve guides out either.The std rockers tend to pull/slide across the top of valve stem...
