If a car (1986 xf falcon) that was engineered over four and a half years ago and was engineered with both gas and petrol approved can the gas be completely removed and still be with in the modification spec's? Why I am asking is that I am thinking of buying a car that has had this done to it and would not like to find out after I have bought it that it doesn't meet with in the regulations.
Have a look at the engineers report. It should specify the conditions it was passed in.
My understanding of engineers reports are that they pass the car in the condition it was in when presented to the engineer. Any further modification MAY void the engineer's certificate, then the vehicle will need to be reengineered... It depends on your state/territory's rules on engineered cars.
vicroads will be in the know. or a mechanic/engineer
