Im about to purchase an aftermarket computer for my ED in preparation for the Turbo going in, but was just wondering will the smartlock still operate? Will even the remote central locking still work? Or does it all operate through the BCM?

I am in the same position, NC with auto and smartlock. I am going to piggyback the original computer leaving most of the wires there and only touching the spark and injectors wires.

Martin, I just did some quick research. I am 99% sure that smartlock will still operate as per normal. All the Smartlock does is give a voltage signal to the ECU so it works. The ECU does not give feedback to the smartlock system. Disconecting the pin 4 is fine.
