just wondering if the ea engines have air intake restrictions or dose it just try and suck as much air into the engin as possible?

just curious.

Don't really know what you mean. Any engine will try and suck as much air into the engine as it needs. The throttle body governs how much air can get into the engine.

The standard intake snorkle is a restriction, if you work out the diameter of it, compared to the intake diameter of the throttle body, putting an XH snorkle on will help with that problem, then, get a K&N filter for better flow to further increase air intake.

I have an XH snorkle, and I also put in a EECV air box instead of thr EEC4 smaller air box, have a look at it via the link in my signature to my car.

I think thats what you were wanting to hear.
