ANYONE GOT A TE50 series III?

I just traded my great series II for a series III which I pick up in two weeks - its still in production!!! (yes I know I should have waited for a DOHC 5.4 xr8 but Im impatient and I got a good deal and i dont want teething problems)- also I have a centre seat from a ute in the front of my existing one which will bolt straight in to the new one without adapting it all over again.

Im a bit worried about the engine being a bit rough near redline and at idle so can anyone put my mind at rest? Also the box was notchy on the one I drove compared to my lovley series II. Will this change with a few miles (the demo had 1900KM.

Responding to an old thread I know. I own a TE50 series 111 and must express my disappointment in the tremec gearbox. I have read much on this site about the clunks, rattles and bangs at idle. Mine has now travelled 3500 km and the gearbox noises at idle are unbearable. The vehicle has also just developed a spasmotic miss mostly at idle and early excelleration.

Have been reading your comments about Tremec gearboxes with interest. I'm sure I can help you with your concerns about your Tr3650. I specialise in 5 and 6 speed Tremecs for Holden and Ford and would be happy to help. I can be contacted on 07 46613548.
