Anyone Tried Gates Polymeric (thermoplastic) Heat Shrink Hose Clamps?

They sound interesting and I gather are now often used in North America. I guess the fact that they self tighten as they get hot, go over the raised bead of the pipe and can be used in hard to get at places makes then sound attractive. I don't know what they cost and they are a one time use only item (and apparently can also be removed by sliding a feeler gauge under them and using the gauge as protective backing for the hose while you cut through the clamp with a blade).
