Major ticking noises were making themselves less than welcome when turning on the fan in the old AU2 XR8. Bugger.

So, time for some investigations. Must be leaves or something right. Pull out glovebox, turn fan source to recirc and fan comes into view. A leaf or two so I remove them and turn on fan. Loud noises still and as I watch I see a clip/clamp bouncing around. The clamp that sits on the end of the fan shaft has come off and is doing its best to escape its confines!

Attach clamp and all is well...... Could have been watching TV instead......

AP IMO you didn't miss much. The guys dropped back into France with little opposition, after R&R in England, then got the shitter blasted out of them latter on. Story line was again the futility of war, the impact on civilians, and the tough time newbies have proving themselves to the veterans. I thought this episode was a bit light on.

I agree with you though, not a bad mini series.

Yeah saw most episodes in the USA when I was over there. It would be so much better if the yanks could admit they didn't win the war single handed and that the Germans were a formidable enemy - not gun fodder as the TV would have you believe.
