hi all.
my mums AU's central locking no longer works. wen u press the remote it just lockes then unlocks straight away with a few beeps of the horn. the boot release still operates tho. so to unlock and lock the car we hav to use the key. to top this off, the back passenger side door dusnt lock sumtimes and then wen it dus, u can only open it from the inside. WHATS GOING ON???
has ne1 else had similar problems? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

from my knowledge the horn means that there isnt a door closed properly and the central locking wont work, and you said the back passenger door doesnt lock sometimes? perhaps that is the reason it doesnt work

so ur saying that the only real problem is the back door which is probably mechanical, which then sets off the remote problem?

I had a similar problem with my AU1 Futura.

Turned out to be the actual passenger side rear door lock. While the door looked to be shut, it was only just out.

Had it replaced (under warranty back then) and all was OK.

yep thats right, it looks to be shut but isnt, that quick horn beep is smart lock telling u all the doors arent shut so there ya go
