Just wondering what the factory rev limiter is set at in the AU's?
Also after i get my engine rebuilt, and if i get it balanced and blueprinted, what do you think i could safely rev the car to? (ps. car is a 4.0 auto with 9psi Powerdyne kit) I'm thinking about removing the rev limiter all together.
Depends if you use stock crank, rods, pistons, valve springs, etc, etc. The higher you want it to rev reliably, the more money you have to spend. Then there is the question as to whether there is a point in revving it that high (eg 8K) unless you have the biggest AU cam ever.
Well most likely the engine will get ACL pistons and bearings, moly rings, maybe new rods/rod bolts. Not totally sure yet but, will have to wait until engine is stripped down. I'm not wanting it to rev out to any crazy rpm either.
