Ok, I much like the look of the boot handle thingy on the AU series 2 / series 3 sedans (just above the number plate) with the words 'FALCON' across it, compared to the series 1 one which is just plain other then the ford symbol.
Does anyone know whether they:
1. are interchangable (ie physically the same size). If yes goto question 2 - - - if no end loop.
2. if you can get them un painted as I have a galaxy blue XR, a colour which was only included in series 1.
3. how much
4. will there be any electrical problems with the number plate lights.
5. part numbers
cheers . . .
damien
edit: thinking further, respraying would be a right pain in the sphincher with trying to mask the words. Still curious though. Cheers.

1. Yes they are - it's called a boot ornament.
2. Yes you can only get them unpainted or chrome (as per Fairmont).
3. Around $70 plus tax.
4. No - it's a trim only

I dont think chrome would look any good without anyhing else being chrome on the back, unless you do a chrome stripe around the car or get the Falcon and XR badges chromed up some.
I expect it to be dearer as well, if the 70 is for unpainted.
hey I was just thinking, off memory, doesnt the chrome one say fairmont, not falcon?? which would mean it would be pretty useless and ricey for a falcon IMO
