I was looking for some details of what was done to create the 220kw XR8 engine and came across some old info on the T-Series II and the "Synergy 5000" engine. Is exactly the same as what is now being fitted to the last AU XR8's?

LOVELY !!!!!!! ;-)
To my knowledge, the only difference between the synergy 5000 and 220kw xr8 engine are the heads. The T series synergy engine used gt40 alloys where the xr8 uses iron GT40P with larger valves and have been machined to increase compression.
