Driving the work fairmont has made me think of a possible solution about the infamous AU window chatter most of us are getting.

It seems the work Fairmont doesn't make the noise, i'm thinking this is due to the window tint and it makes the window just that tad thicker and covered my a film that it may just be the answer to the chatter problem.

Anyone Tinted their windows and experiencing the chatter?

If this is the solution i'm going to Solace asap and going the metal film jobbie.

Sorry Gaz, got the tint and the chatter, though I don't know wether mine is bad or not without a benchmark.

I thought that only the series 1's did that. My S1 forte has tinted windows (tint a car) and does not make a sound
Drove it home last night after being in the holden and ford show display and got up to 175 about 3 kays from home and still no noise at all
Maybe the tint does help
She Drove beautiful last night.

The work S2 AU's do chatter and i investigated it and found that if you push the inner door seal at the top of the door in a little, the problem disappears
Try some hydroseal or no more gaps.

Guys spray the window chanels with silicone spray,its part of a service at my place.Very common problem

mine are tinted too. chatter like crazy just adds music to the rest of the rattles and squeeks.service spray mine with silicone spray to solves problem till you wash the vehicle

Don't quite know what the 'chatter' refers to, but my AUII has tint and, other than road noise, it's as quiet as.
