A bit of help please, does anyone know how to remove the shroud around the stereo in the centre console, is it easy or do you have to pull half the car apart.
Thanks

to remove the centre dash surround, you first need to remove the radio by using the two pronged tools that go into the two little holes either side of the radio (this tool is available from most auto parts shops for about $30). Push both the tools into either side of the radio and yank out radio and unplug.
then there will be 4 phillips screws to remove, 2 behind the ashtray and two behind the lower part of where the radio fits in. The rest of the surround just pulls out and is held in by metal clip things. Be very careful no to scratch the lower lhs of the dash with the metal clips when the surround is pulled forward.
if you want to take the surround right out, you need to disconnect the vauccum and elec switches in the top of the panel. Also the cigartete lighter too.:s6:
BTW, just out of interest, why do you want to pull it out??
