Strange thing happened to me on the way to work this morning.
Filled up last night. Started on the way to work when the fuel gauge waring light came on with chimes. DTE was counting down at rapid rate. I thought i was losing fuel at a rapid rate so i pulled over switched off ignition and checked for fuel leak. None!!
I think i would notice a 61L leak. Got back in started motor and all was right again. Fuel gauge full and DTE 387.
Any body seen this before?? must be a computer clitch or something.

Had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. Ford Dealer said it was the in tank fuel sender and replaced uinder warranty.
