Any news there of 220kw?
Just in paper last week - XR8 220 kw from July. New cam, decent 'porting', chip change. Before I bought a new XR8 I asked Ford (not just the dealer, I rung Ford and asked them personally)to be informed of any pending mods. Did they tell me before I got the new car 2 weeks ago? 'Course not! Had to read it in the paper. Any suggestions on a retro fit to existing? Anyone know what the cost is? (not supercharging please). Of course Ford won't say 'oh sorry, we'll match the new power'.

trade it in!!! hehehe or just wait for the new model late next year.
I still dont know if I should my xr6 and do it up in around 2 years or trade it in for a next model xr series.
I'll wait till then if its cheaper which is more worthwhile.
Here's the plan.....
Twin Turbo Xr6..... T25 garret turbo I have exact details of turbo specification, just dont know where to get them cheap yet.
Air water intercooler source from celica GT4, and it might just fit.
Custom made manifold would probably cost me the most as I want it to be complex so I can fit the intercooler.
Dual exhaust system up to after rear wheels then goes to 1 into oval shape tip.
Overall boost 8psi around 340hp, 10 // 370hp, 12 // 400hp.
Its a two year plan... we'll see.
Right now I'm sourcing all these and measuring things.
Also does anyone if our au xr6/8 front spindle matches the fronts of the '99->mustangs?
