AV Falcon - Start Paniking Holden
I got some sneak preview news from a sighting of 4 x AV Falcons on durability testing.
The 4.0 l is twin cam 24 valve WITH variable cam timing - 175 -180 kw standard.
New 2 piece tailshaft
New Floor pan.
New Front and Rear suspension. IRS stnd on sedan
Front suspension towers are re-angled to accomodate the quad cam 5.4l V8
Front & rear was car bra'd so could see under
Brand new German design interior similar to Modeo.
Stnd Tremtec 5 Speed (by the way all AUIII XR8 & I'm Sure XR6 now gets the Tremtec 5 speed stnd not T5 anymore.
This model is make or break for Ford Oz, They are going all out the beat Holden.
The dealers are ecstatic with a model they feel will sell itself, making the AU1 Forte & Futura just an unhappy memory.
Unless Holden's VY has a quadcam V6, it's unlikely they'll have an answer for at least a year when the new engine plant is going. However, Motor Mag says the VY will have an electronic 5 speed auto.
If anyone else has a sighting please post news here.
