BA Air Pipes On EF Engine - Goes Great !

Yeah I couldn't wait to try, I measured it up, ordered it in and fitted it, the BA FALCON Air tubes from air box to throttle body.

Much better design than EF/EL/AU Bigger bore, better swirl, more direct.

Easy to fit - - allot more mid range torque - explain that, no I'm not dreaming.

Tried the BA Air box but it's so huge it is too high for EF bonnet, about 40mm too high ! Pity.

Not sure what the blanked off swirled bit is, it's like the AU XR8 horse shoe plastic bit on it's tube.

PS like the old bolt on the end ?

it's not the dog turd looking induction silencer? i pulled mine off and jammed a welsh plug in it. made absolutely no difference to noise or performance.

redwards,
I've just had a little look of the BA intake arrangement compared with the EF - AU. I can see the pipe part that connects to the Throttle body and bolts on the top of teh dual runners can fit, but how did you get the other piece from the outlet of the TB piece to the airbox? Did you use teh BA flexible hose or did you have to make one up. From what i can see that is going to be the trickiest part.

That looks like a neat and factory looking fit which i like. I'm interested in the idea as i think the AU piece to the Throttle body is soo small (smaller than the EL one :oo1: ) while the BA setup has a much better flow and more volume to the TB. Will be looking into this setup as one of my mods list as i have already got the EF lid running.

This does look interesting... although not sure if I am going to do more work on my EF or start on my 64 XM Ute!

What was the price for the BA parts used here?

Cheers.......... Tim
