I've seen a few BA wagons and i swear they are just AU's with BA fronts on them, so maybe its possilbe to graft a BA front onto a AU sedan easly what do you think?

It's not a huge job really, I know of someone who is currently in the process of converting a complete car from AU to BA (Outside only)

absolute waste of money if you ask me. The Au's arn't that bad looking and for the cost involved in buying all those parts brand new you could easily upgrade to the real mcoy.
But your basically right the wagons didn't change much on the out side and they still have the old suspendtion as well.

yeah, it would ahve cost ford a huge amount of money to change the back of the wagon.. I've seen a few wagons, and have had to look twice to see if it is a au or ba

you will probably remember that i posted about this about 4 months ago

i was repetedly flamed, because of an opinion that i had, hence my inaction in the main Ford Forums area

ive actually decided that my next car will be a V8 AU Fairmont wagon with a BA Ghia front on it, as i H A T E the AU front.
it will cop a respray in either phantom or acid rush.

the main reason for this is fords crazy decision to axe the fairmont wagon why on earth?? also, 'no V8 wagon will be available' is what i have been told by the local dealer.

ive already seen a AU 1 forte wagon (destinguished by hte series 1 17's and S1 forte badging) with a BA fairmont front it was parked outside the panel shop that did the mod


so i will wait and see if ford revise their decision to not suply V8 / fairmont wagons, if they do then ill get a BA if not AU/BA mockup it is

hey no one complains about EA's with ED XR fronts or twinlight conversions do they???

before i got my kit on my AU i was actually considering putting just the BA xr front bumper (highly modified along the top of course) to my car - was told i was stupid so didnt really look into it much more. Very happy with what ive got now though and probably a lot easier!

considering ford are not releasing a V8 fairmont wagon I can see your point. If you were doing this to a normal sedan I would flame you.
But seriously it would cost a bloody fortune to buy the parts from ford. I don't know how much but you'd be needing
bonnet, both fenders, lights for the fenders, front bar, grill, lights, all the little fittings behind all that and maybe even more!
