Bathurst Globes.

I'm looking at buying a set of original Bathurst Globes for my XW the price is right ($1500)my only cocern is that one off them has a bend in the outer lip it's not very noticable but I'm still a bit weary of this .Has anyone ever repaired an alloy wheel like this with any sucsess,There is 5 off them so I could use this as a spare if need be.

i reckon for $1500 they should be in perfect nick. but your right if 4, are use the 5th as a spare. still to me that's a lot of cash for 2nd hand.

How do you identify original ones ? Ive got four that you can have for a lot less than that but Ive no idea how to tell if they are original or not.

Probably not till next week as they are in a container out at our block. I would be fairly dubious that they are originals but you never know. They came on one of my XT utes so Ive got no idea of their history. I'll post a pic when I can

they should have a ford part number if they are original.. and the hole in the centre on XB RPO and XC Cobra ones is larger for the larger diameter hub.

Had a Ghia wheel repaired a few years ago at a place called Ajax Wheels in Moorabbin - cost about $90. Happy with the result!

There is a mob in Ballarat - Wheels Australia - that also do repairs. Phone (03) 5339 5484. Heaps closer to you, and they definitely exist - I got their card at the Bendigo Swap Meet on Saturday! :-)

They are 14 x 7" and have no lip because you have to use stick on wheel weights.
