anyone know where i could get an exide orbital marine or an optima yellowtop battery in melb for a decent price? im looking to pick one up before friday. the optima has just about had its day!
I am in exactly the same position except trying to get an Optima. Steven was trying to organise a bulk buy but I haven't heard from him. I might end up just paying the $360 Autobarn want or doing a bit of calling around the other sellers listed on the site. If you find out anything let me know!!

there is a dedicated battery store in Moroolbark (near KFC). I know they had a few decent batterys when i was there, and could deff order some in. I opted for an $80 Mercury battery 440 cca, does the job fine.
i got a bond 720 cca if ayone interested?
$80
good nik but its bit bigger than standard size.
will need a little adjusting of battery holder to get it to fit.
I got my orbital from the 4wd place on Prince Hwy in Dandenong (near the intersection of Sth. Gippsland Hwy). It's called ARB or something like that...
Price at the time (more than a year ago now) was cheaper than what i could get through work (at a marina).
only prob for me is none of these places will be open after 5.. so i doubt im gonna get one before friday, unless their store is closer to work (camberwell). does anyone know if autobarn stock them?
given ive shagged a 55aH 750CCA optima, i dont think a $80 mercury is going to cut it.. hehe :)
If i had the money to pay for it atm, I'd offer to go pick it up during the day for ya mate. Then you could just pick it up from my place after hours...
Sadly, I don't have the money atm. :( Not until a few cheques clear (which won't be for a few days.)
Holy crap, I was quoted $360 for an 800 CCA Redtop (or the Yellow/Bluetop) at Autobarn in the city, and the bulk buy price was going to be $280. Unless we're talking about different things, those prices are ridiculous.
