This subject has been covered a few times and the general consensus is to save your cash and order the EL GT snorkal, costs all of 25 bucks and is far bigger than the standard one.
Yeah i looked at the SS coldair inductions, the kit for falcons costs like $320 for abit of plastic and they claim 8kw at the rear wheels.
I think the figures are abit how you going and the price fuggin rip off.
GT Intake Scoop is only $36.00.

Yeap it should fit, just un bolt the two screws of the air intake tube and it will come off.

I'm looking at investigating the effectiveness of "Cold-air" intakes for my final year thesis this year. The project car we'll be working on will be my mate's EL XR6. We're looking at measuring a whole bunch of things like mass air flow, intake temp, etc. as well as the effect on RWHP. We're also looking at using a few different setups with piping, filters etc. to determine whether you can make significant gains.
It will be a while yet till we get results but I'll keep you posted - might be interesting.......

Thats a good project your doing there, i'd be very interested to see your findings once you've concluded your thesis.
