WayneC Registered User Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Clearwater, FL Posts: 11	Bizzar fan clutch Can anybody tell me the properties of the fan clutch for a '95 Grand Marquis 4.6? While performace testing my a/c I noticed the engine driven fan slowed to a stop when the elec. fan started. It then proceeded to drift back and forth freely as the elec. fan blew. When I stop the a/c the elec. fan stops and the mechanical fan then begins to spin again and becomes quite strong. The mechanical fan runs constantly as long as the a/c is OFF. Normally I would consider a freewheeling clutch fan the sign of a bad clutch, but, I'm not so sure in this case. Most Bizzar!
