Has anyone used VHT Nite Shades or similar. and got some photos??
>>VHT Nite Shades (SP999) is a transparent black tail light lens coating for creating a custom European styling. When applied to tail lights, fog lights or turn indicators, VHT Nite Shades appears black until they are lit, then the natural red colour appears. Recommended for off road use. Warning: Once applied to plastic lens, SP999 is not able to be satisfactorily removed. Recommended for off-road use.<<
I used this stuff on my XD Fairmont Ghia around 5 years ago. It turned out sensational. I was really impressed with it. I thought applying ti was very simple if you just applied light coats at a time and waited to dry. I ended up doing my Tail lighs and front indicators. I didnt use to much it was just a happy medium and everything was easy to see still.
Hmm... Does anyone know *why* it is illegal ?
It seems to me as long as your reflectors still work, and your lights are above the minimum brightness, there should be no problem. Given you can go for no-colour ( a-la mazda 6, ef indicators etc ), darker colours should be okay (as per above conditions).
