After removing the motor from my XY ute today I placed an Xb GS bonnet with vents on the open engine bay and damn it looked good. I know of course that the XB bonnet is way to big for the XY but has anyone attempted this conversion before?

I have seen the middle of an XB bonnet (with vents) transplanted into the middle of an XT bonnet, also some other cars as well but I can't picture them. I think one then had a shaker on it for good measure too.

haven't tried it Wolf159, but sit it back on there and take a pic.....it would be interesting to see

There was an EA station wagon on Ebay a while back with an XC GXL (?) vented bonnet centre grafted on to it... it looked... wrong.

That said, It'd look sweet on an XY
