bonnet vents

I have recently installed a K&N extreme racing pod filter in my AU. Im considering installing a bonnet vent or pair(1 for each side) and possibly even a scoop of some sort to really benefit by cold air. how do people stop the rain from getting in there? Will mesh covering it be enough to stop most of it, and does it do any damage?

Re: bonnet vents

nup it doesnt do any damage ... however have u considered relocating ur pod into the front bar, because putting vents or scoops onto an AU bonnet is a pain in the ***. I have done it 4 times and its no fun. If u want some info on how to locate the POD into the front bar just PM me ...
